Chapter 10. Configuring a kernel to support serial console
Most Linux kernels shipped by distributors are configured to allow the serial console to be enabled. However system administrators will almost certainly encounter some problems best solved by recompiling a kernel. In these cases configure the kernel to support the serial console. The usual virtual terminal console is also configured, as we normally want console messages to go a monitor as well as the serial port. Linux HOWTO full list |
