oci_field_size (PHP 5) oci_field_size -- Returns field's size Descriptionint oci_field_size ( resource stmt, mixed field )
oci_field_size() returns the size of a field in
bytes. Value of field parameter can be the field's
index (1-based) or it's name.
Example 1. oci_field_size()example

$stmt = oci_parse($conn, "SELECT * FROM emp");
oci_execute($stmt);
echo "<table border=\"1\">";
echo "<tr>";

$ncols = oci_num_fields($stmt);
for ($i = 1; $i <= $ncols; $i++) {
$column_name = oci_field_name($stmt, $i);

echo "<td>$column_name</td>";

Note:
In PHP versions before 5.0.0 you must use ocicolumnsize() instead.
This name still can be used, it was left as alias of
oci_field_size() for downwards compatability.
This, however, is deprecated and not recommended.
