This web project was done using php and mysql by our software company and it was for a loans company. The web interface consisted of access to 5 different types of users namely,

Loan Processors
Loan officers
Managers
Admins
Standard Users

Processors can view and edit only their individual loan details and status.

Loan officers can view and edit their own loan status and details.

Managers can view and edit all loan statuses.

Admins can do basically everything.

Standard users can view and edit their individual loan statuses.

Passwords are edited by the admin. Email alerts can be setup for different occasions like loan officers emails, loan processors emails, admin emails, account creation emails etc. All the emails can be mail merged with specific database and form fields.

Complex auto responders can be setup based on upto 10 complex conditions.

A multi functional admin panel which consists of among other things, to do lists, editing faclities for editing loans and all types of users, editing emails and their text, editing auto responders, editing reviews etc was created using php.
